Alfa Romeo Minivan is currently a major topic of discussion within the Biscione. This follows statements made by Alfa Romeo’s Chief Design Officer, Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos, as reported by the reputable British automotive magazine Autocar. Similar statements were made several months earlier by Alfa Romeo’s CEO, Jean Philippe Imparato, leading to the belief that something significant is indeed in progress. Although this news is only a few days old, some had already speculated about what an Alfa Romeo Minivan might be like in the past.
The style of the hypothetical Alfa Romeo Minivan that could be launched in China
Ascariss Design published a video on their YouTube channel about nine months ago, wondering what a minivan from the Biscione might be like, unaware that this possibility would become the focus of many discussions in the automotive industry in the future. It’s worth noting that this type of vehicle is currently quite popular in China. Alfa Romeo aims to become a global premium brand and to achieve this, it will inevitably need to perform well in China. Consequently, similar to what other prestigious automakers like Volvo, Lexus, and Mercedes are doing, the possibility of launching a minivan in the future cannot be dismissed.
Even if it receives approval for production, a hypothetical Alfa Romeo Minivan may not reach Western markets. It could be sold exclusively in China, where such vehicles are highly valued. In the meantime, it’s worth mentioning that the automaker also has another option in the form of a new high-rider. It’s believed that the large Alfa-branded SUV is just a few years away and could arrive at dealerships starting in 2027. This has not only been officially confirmed by Biscione’s executives but is also expected to make its way to Europe, despite being launched to help the premium Stellantis brand breakthrough in the United States.
