In South America, Fiat is preparing to enter the competitive mid-size pickup segment with the new Fiat Titano. Initially, it will be produced in Uruguay, where it is manufactured by Nordex and imported into main markets like Brazil and Argentina. However, Stellantis is already working on producing the pickup in its factory in Córdoba, Argentina. At least, that’s what some media in Brazil are reporting. Stellantis plans to start producing the pickup in the Córdoba plant in Argentina in 2025. The debut is expected to be a part of the 2026 lineup. There won’t be any visual changes compared to the Fiat Titano, which will arrive by the end of this year, imported from Uruguay.

When produced in Argentina, the pickup will have Peugeot and Fiat versions, just like in the Uruguayan production. Stellantis is already working on the tools that will be used in the production lines in Córdoba. The project is codenamed Project KP1. The Fiat Titano produced in Argentina will not have any aesthetic modifications compared to the model that will already be produced in Uruguay. In other words, it will be the same as the Peugeot Landtrek with the Fiat logo.

Compared to the French model, the Fiat Titano will only receive a new grille with a wide frame at the top and on the sides. It is divided into four horizontal sections with 3D elements, the first three of which have six air intakes on each side, separated by the Fiat name highlighted in the middle. The last section is more open with small filaments distributed horizontally and vertically. At the rear, the Fiat Titano prominently features only the Fiat logo and the word Titano. Even the headlights remain unchanged, following the same Landtrek design.

The Uruguayan Fiat Titano will be equipped with the 2.2 BlueHDI Turbo Diesel engine with 200 horsepower and 45.9 kgfm of torque. The midsize pickup will have versions with a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic transmission. It will be a 4×4 drivetrain. However, thanks to Argentine production, the Fiat Titano will also receive the new 2.4 Turbo Diesel engine developed by Stellantis, which will be used in the Jeep Compass, Commander, and Ram Rampage.
