Beautiful, elegant, and innovative – that’s how CEO Luca Napolitano defines the new Lancia Gamma, which will be the future flagship of the Stellantis premium brand. It’s set to debut in 2026 and will be produced in Italy at the Stellantis plant in Melfi. This will be a nearly 4.7-meter-long fastback car built on the STLA Medium platform. The car will be fully electric and boast a range of approximately 700 kilometers.
New Lancia Gamma: the future flagship of the Italian brand will be a blend of elegance, sophistication, and innovation
Luca Napolitano, Lancia‘s CEO, mentioned that this new Lancia Gamma will bring Italian craftsmanship to Europe, with nearly 50 percent of its sales expected to occur outside of Italy. The vehicle will feature a sporty and dynamic design inspired by the Lancia Pu+RA HPE concept, as well as a spacious and refined interior that will make you feel like you’re in an Italian living room.
The new Lancia Gamma will be manufactured at the Melfi plant, one of Stellantis’ excellence sites in Italy, where the new generation of the Jeep Compass will also be produced. It’s a strategic model for the revival of the Lancia brand, aiming to attract new customers in the electric flagship segment.
The Gamma is part of a decade-long plan that includes the launch of three new products, one every two years. In 2024, we’ll see the new Lancia Ypsilon, available as a hybrid and electric version. In 2028, the new Lancia Delta, also fully electric, will be introduced. Starting from the same year, Lancia will only sell pure electric vehicles. Here, we present one of the many renderings found on the web, envisioning the look of this highly anticipated model that we can only imagine for now. It’s a creation by Ascariss Design, speculating on the external appearance of this car that could reveal a lot about Lancia‘s future in Europe.
